REAL Services provides programs that promote nutrition, self-sufficiency, education, and protection for 30,000 people in northern Indiana each year. As the Area 2 Agency on Aging resource for community members 60+ and disabled individuals, we take our responsibility seriously. We operate senior nutrition sites, and provide care management. Supporting individuals to maintain their independence, live with dignity and increase their strength throughout their lives.

REAL Services also assists low-income households (despite age) with electric and heating expenses during the winter months with funding provided through federal and state government. Households may submit an application starting October 1st. Please note that the Energy Assistance Program (EAP) start date is November 1st and EAP is unable to send notifications to the utility companies until the start date. Households with disconnected utilities should call our office at 574-232-6501 after October 1st for instructions on how to proceed.
